By accessing or using CampusHub Housing ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CampusHub Housing.

2. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated.

3. Student Responsibilities

Students agree to:

• • Respect property viewings and adhere to scheduled appointments
• • Not submit fake or malicious reviews
• • Use the Platform solely for legitimate housing search purposes
• • Report any suspicious listings or landlord behavior promptly

4. Landlord Responsibilities

Landlords agree to:

• • Provide accurate and complete property information
• • Maintain valid verification documents on file
• • Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner
• • Honor pricing and availability listed on the Platform
• • Comply with all applicable Kenyan housing laws and regulations

5. Property Listing Rules

All property listings must:

• • Include genuine, recent photographs of the actual property
• • State accurate pricing with no hidden fees
• • Clearly specify the exact location and proximity to campus
• • Not contain misleading or false information
• • Comply with all applicable zoning and rental regulations

6. Prohibited Activities

Users may not:

• • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• • Impersonate any person or entity
• • Manipulate pricing, availability, or reviews
• • Collect user data without consent
• • Engage in harassment, discrimination, or hate speech
• • Post duplicate or fake property listings

7. Content Ownership

Users retain ownership of content they submit. By submitting content, you grant CampusHub Housing a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the Platform. We do not claim ownership of your property listings or reviews.

8. Platform Rights

CampusHub Housing reserves the right to:

• • Modify or discontinue the Platform at any time
• • Remove any content that violates these terms
• • Verify user identities and information
• • Reject or remove listings without notice
• • Update these terms with prior notice to users

9. Account Suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users. Suspended users may not create new accounts without explicit permission. Appeals can be submitted to our support team.

10. Liability Limitations

CampusHub Housing acts as a marketplace connecting students and landlords. We are not party to any rental agreements made between users. To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, we disclaim all warranties and liability for damages arising from Platform use. We are not responsible for the accuracy of listings or the conduct of users.

11. Dispute Resolution

Disputes should first be reported to CampusHub Housing support. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled through mediation in Nairobi, Kenya. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Kenyan courts. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes via email or Platform notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
